Kameron Gray is Richmond Odom’s pen name. Born in Monroe, Louisiana, in 1952, he majored in history at Louisiana State University, and graduated from the O.W. Coburn School of Law (at Oral Roberts University) in 1982. He has lived and has practiced law in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for the past 25 years. Kameron has four children and two grandchildren. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and is a black belt in Ku Kenpo karate.

In addition to his novelette, House of Blood and Fire, Kameron is the author of two non-fiction books: New Gods for a New Age, and Circle of Death, both written under his real name, Richmond Odom. They were published in 1994 and 1995, respectively. He has also written numerous professional articles and has lectured extensively.

Kameron gave over 500 radio and television interviews in connection with New Gods for a New Age and Circle of Death. These included NBC’s “Extra,” three appearances on the “Man Cow Show” out of Chicago, a one-hour interview on CBC (Canadian Public Radio), a half-hour interview on the “Bob Grant Show,” in early 1996 (when he was still on WABC in New York City), the “Bo Gritz” syndicated show, interviews on hundreds of radio stations from coast to coast, and two international short-wave radio stations. Kameron was scheduled to appear on the Geraldo Rivera television show in 1996, but the interview was postponed so that Mr. Rivera could attend a funeral. Rescheduling never occurred due to conflicting dates.

From 1988 to 1994, Kameron hosted “Rebuilding the Wall,” a radio show syndicated on various stations in Louisiana. The weekly, two-hour caller-driven show focused on legal and political issues.
